After losing three consecutive finals in international tournaments, Lionel Messi and Argentina are under pressure to succeed at the 2018 World Cup.
Former Argentina and Inter defender Javier Zanetti believes pressure on Lionel Messi to win the World Cup has increased in recent years following the national side’s struggles.
La Albiceleste lost 1-0 to Germany in the World Cup final in Brazil four years ago and also suffered consecutive Copa America defeats to Chile in 2015 and 2016.

EPL 2018/2019 FIXTURES: MAN CITY TO START TITLE DEFENCE AT ARSENAL
The English Premier League champions, Manchester City will begin their title defence away to Arsenal on the weekend of August 11-12, the English Premier League announced Thursday as it unveiled the fixtures for the 2018/19 season.
The match will also be new Arsenal manager Unai Emery’s first in English football’s top flight.
The exact date of the game will be confirmed when television broadcasting schedules are drawn up.

WORLD CUP 2018: RUSSIA WELCOMES THE WORLD
The anxious wait for the 2018 FIFA World Cup is finally over as the tournament kicks off today at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, Russia. The 32 teams for the competition have all arrived and the first match of this year’s most-anticipated tournament kicks off at 4 pm (Nigerian time) between hosts Russia and Saudi Arabia.
The competition ends on July 15.
Five countries from the Asian Confederation, five from Africa, five from South America, three from North America and 14 from Europe will contest for the title in Russia.

GHANA COURT SUSPENDS FOOTBALL FEDERATION
A Ghana court on Tuesday ordered the suspension of the country’s embattled football federation, paving the way for its dissolution following explosive corruption allegations.
The High Court of Ghana granted the request of Ghana’s attorney general Gloria Akuffo to suspend the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and its officials.
“GFA has undermined its existence and therefore in the interest of protecting the national interests, we say the attorney general owes the duty to take urgent measures to stop this,” Akuffo said in the country’s capital of Accra.
