England and winning the World Cup is already something that’s kind of distant memory. It’s so much that everyone struggles to even remember that they had a victory against Slovenia, 1-0 almost eight years ago at South Africa 2010. Something noticeable is that none of those players was named in the team for Russia. The Three Lions have refreshed and have a new start with a host of young faces in the line-up since Gareth Southgate took over. Only five players have traveled to Brazil four years ago, so now this rejuvenated England team will attempt to end a four-game winless streak against Tunisia.

Far from pushovers the North Africans still have ambitions on their own at the tournament. Tunisia has shown that are tough and well-organized opponents.

Did you know that in 1998 in Marseille on June 15th the opening fixture of Group G was England against Tunisia? The match ended in England’s favor scoring 2-0.
