If you visit a bookstore in any city, you will see hundreds of self-help books on being successful at anything you do. The authors will tell you about a list of do’s and don’ts that will aid you to be on your way to success.

Here’s some bad news – all what they are selling to you is crap!

Do you want to be successful? Then, you should never give up! It is as simple as that! Look around you, all the people you know that are very good at what they do and end up being recognized for it, there is one thing they all have in common – they never give up.

Yes, life can be so difficult, especially when you are not seeing the dividends of your efforts, but at the end of the day, you will have reasons to smile if you just keep pushing.

Take the football sensation, Cristiano Ronaldo, for instance, why is he such a great goal scorer? Why has he been singled out of all his Real Madrid and Portugal teammates?

Is his talent extraordinary?

Ronaldo never gives up and this quality follows everything he does every day of his life. Whether he is engaged in a football tournament or he is at home, he always practices and never jokes with his diet.

That is what sets him apart from all other players.

He is currently playing in the World Cup tournament but best believe, when it is all over, you will not find him bingeing out on alcohol and excess food, he will be practicing his craft. This makes his game worth watching on the field of play!

Are you the same way with your chosen craft? Or do you make excuses as to why you should take a break? Do you easily get discouraged at the slightest sign of rejection? How do you handle it?

Do you take rejection and let it strengthen you to do better next time or do you just give up?

Search yourself and adjust if you see you are falling short because there is no other way to be successful at what you do. There is no secret or trojan horse.

Whenever you fall, keep rising, that’s how you succeed!
