What have you learnt in this year thus far, you should try to learn something new and add a new skill as often as you can. The problem with young people is that of misinformation over the years that has corroded our understanding of how best to learn. Majority have been told from childhood that to learn something new, we must go to school and carry book and Biro. Friend, it didn't work, and has not been working for many. The rate of unemployment is a clear testament to that. Is the western mode of education failing us? The answer is No and Yes.

No because we have people who came out transformed and contributed a lot to the society, all from what they learnt. They didn't depend on knowledge acquired only, but managed to look for ways to apply those knowledge and possibly diversified to something more lucrative, and today, they are true evidence of the success story that Western education System(Classroom) brings.

And Yes due to the menace unemployed graduates are causing in our society. They sit down waiting for one company to come offer them free jobs, when they have nothing upstairs. Then after a while, they resort to one social vice or the other.
Going to the university in essence doesn't guarantee you a job on a platter, you have to merit it.
Now, you can turn all that around by getting yourself trained in a particular profession that you cherish. Skilled and experienced people in a peculiar areas are commanding value. Look for what people are overlooking, and take swift advantage.
You can get trained as a heavy duty equipment operator, this pays in Nigeria- a developing and building nation where construction works are going on everywhere and everyday.
The second batch of trainees just rounded up at Equilog Training Centre, and are going to the site to learn the practicals for two more months.
