The death toll as at this morning has risen to 72 as fulani herdsmen have been killing since on Friday leading to the blockage of roads passing through there. |

The extent of the killings at Gashish, Barkin Ladi is starting to unravel. At the last count this morning (Sunday 24th June 2018) at 10:00am, our contact, Dalyop Choji (Berom Youth-Moulders Association President), who was in the communities has confirmed that over 72 corpses have been recovered with many still being discovered in nearby bushes and rocks. The BYM president who spoke to correspondent confirmed that 31 corpses have already been recovered from Gashish village, with another 41 from neighbouring villages (Soi, Razat, Nghar, Ruku, Zargwong, Kurra Berrom, Tanabu, Tisan, Kakuruk, Kachin and Shonong) The question is- WHY ARE THEY TRYING TO HIDE WHAT IS GOING ON? |

This is true, I'm a corp member currently serving in barkinladi, over hundred people have been killed by the herdsmen since yesterday. There is pandemonium, everyone is terrified, the herdsmen are even attacking bethel seminary after bokkos junction right now. As at the last count over 141 have been killed, pictures coming soon.
