As the savage coldblooded massacre was ongoing in Plateau, the same was being replicated in the SE as two communities in Ebonyi and Cross River States engaged in daylight killings.

More than1500 houses burnt as over 7000 people were displaced according to Vanguard.
https://www.vanguardngr.com/2018/06/scores-killed-7000-displaced-1500-houses-burnt-ebonyi-cross-river-crisis/

Daily times reported reported a casualty figure of 20 deaths http://dailypost.ng/2018/06/26/20-feared-dead-cross-river-ebonyi-communities-clash/ even though a friend in Ebony state confirmed to me that the figure was grossly underrated.

My surprise is that, everybody seems OK with the killings as nobody even talked about it. Even nairaland joined in the boycott.

Are we angrier with that of Plateau because of who the alleged aggressors are or because plateau victims have a higher significance than those in Ebonyi?

Or because Ebonyi does not fit into the popular Jihadism narrative?

Or because Ebonyi does not, this time around, implicate our 'blood sucking jihadist president'?

Just thinking out loud

sad

So you think what happened in Plateau is something to be compared or joked about?

Very petty of you.

So two communities fighting over a dispute is to be compared to killings that have happened in Benue, Taraba, Nassarawa and Plateau by the same people Abi?

Their clash is over their boundaries. It doesn't even affect the whole Ebonyi as a whole.

You can lick Buhari's balls however you want. It's cool. But think about that family that have lost their breadwinner. Think about that child that is fatherless.

Use your head bro. It isn't on your neck for nothing

More than 5 days now, nobody cares about reporting the tragedy that happened in Ebonyi.

Are we really this sick in this country?

This thread is just trying to defend your defenseless saviour, and indirectly you are making a joke about the whole issue

If you don't see any thing wrong with this government concerning the Plateau killings, you can keep shut like MURIC

Have pity on those who are mourning. That's the least you can give to them now.

It is just sad that the deaths of over 20 people in Ebonyi can just be buried under the carpet like that.

Or is there now something like, good or nice killings?

Tolerable killings

Acceptable killings

I'm just wondering

Meaning u re OK with the tragedy and deaths that happened in Ebonyi

Can you just imagine how pple think.

It's now very clear that most of you shouting plateau, benue upandan are doing so because of ur hatred for the President. If you can just downplay the coldblooded butchery of more than 2 dozen people, just like that.

You people are heartless

CAN would say nothing.

The lives of the people of Cross River or Ebonyi cannot help promote their narrative.

Lol.. The clash wasn't inter-religious, so why/what exactly do you guys expect CAN to speak of?

Since the communities involved are Christians, nobody will tell CAN to keep shut if it intervenes by calling on all parties to sheath sword.
But of course they won't since this very killings does not help promote their narrative.

CAN is meant to be an umbrella body overseeing the interest of Christians in Nigeria and as such, CAN shouts out when the killings are inter-religious; e.g. when Christians are being persecuted and killed by persons of other religions. The clash being discussed has nothing to do with religion, so I'm lost at why you're so concerned about CAN not speaking. What about MURIC or the Sultan of Sokoto speaking about it too?
