Thanks to stars like Wizkid, John Boyega, Chimamanda Adichie, Skepta and more, there are a lot of eyes on Nigeria at the moment. This has brought about the birth of many fire jams, as our musicians have been collaborating with international pop stars.

Well, Davido was recently seen hanging out with DJ Khaled, and usually, when we see these things, a new song follows.

Even though news about possible collaborations don’t always result in anything tangible *cough* Tiwa Savage and Coldplay *cough*, however, Davido has already given us songs with Meek Mill, Rae Sremmurd, Young Thug and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, so a collab with DJ Khaled isn’t that far-fetched.

Yesterday, when Davido beat out stars like Tiwa Savage, J Hus, Stormzy, Stefflon Don and Cassper Nyovest to win the ‘Best International Act’ award at the 2018 BET Awards, he implored international artists to come to Africa and collaborate.

Well, we can all attest to the fact that if Davido and Khaled collaborate, the song will be a jam because Davido is Davido and DJ Khaled is DJ Khaled. In a Snapchat video, DJ Khaled said he’s trying to come out to Nigeria, and he just needs to sort a few things out.

It would definitely be great to have DJ Khaled out here working with our local artists. Apart from the fact that the songs will be fire, it also marks a turning point for the Nigerian music industry that international powerhouses actually want to collaborate.

We don’t know what’s going to come out of it, but we’re definitely excited about what’s to come!!
