I spotted one of these Chinese mini cars,
in Nigeria and I looked at the front grille and headlights, voila! It looked like the “surprise” emoticon.
It is a 2013 Geely LC Cross (also known as ‘panda’).

This vehicle falls within mini cars category and it has strength as well as weaknesses as considered below:

Safety: Geely LC won 5-star in the CNCAP compact test with a result of 45.3. It is adjudged the safest compact car. It has six airbags.

Drive train: It comes with a 1.3L V4 engine that gives 63kW of power and 110Nm of torque. Its top speed is 155km/hr. They come in 5 speed manual and automatic drives. It is a fuel economic car as it uses 6.9L/100km.

Equipment: six airbags, CD/radio/USB port, electric windows front and back, electric side mirrors, ABS brake with electronic brake-force distribution, rear door child locks, park-distance warning system at the front and rear, and central locking.

Price: Chinese products are about affordability. The car is priced around N1.5million, which is about the price for fairly used version of entry cars.

Cons: The interior is (dashboard etc) covered mostly with plastic. Also, legroom is minimal and as most compact cars, very small boot. It is good for city commute and not long distance travel. It is a sluggish car, as you have to hit the accelerator harder to move.

Competitors: Hyundai i10, Ford kA, etc.
