The NOUN was set up with the aim of providing mass tertiary education to teeming number if wannabe undergraduates. it adopted the self teaching methods with provisions of ver comprehensive Textbooks. ..without much contact with lecturers, student of the institution are left with no option but to read if they must pass since it takes two to tangle... nevertheless, when one gets to the final year and faced with project writing. supervisors are assigned to each student from highly qualified senior lecturers of higher institution within the host states. however, this arrangement has resulted in the growth of the ugly trend of coruption, especially propagated by the so called ASUU lecturers, who always complain abt student lack of genuine interest in education. the new trend niw is that these lecturers who are assigned up to 15 students each, every 3 months of graduation has set up a fee they charge the students. many atimes.this fees are as high as 60k... now calculate an average of 50k for 15 students at a tym. this happens every three months of graduation. they call it fee to write the project for u. others charge twenty thousands even when u will write the project by urself. this is an ugly trend that must stop.. if not curtailed. it would further rubbish the per degree of NOUN graduates. hence making them not skilled in research methodology..... plz if ur a NOUN graduates and has experienced this trend..share ur story here.
