Do you have a blog and you want to perform well in it or do you wish your post to appear in google search queries when people input their question in google? you can only achieve all this goals by adding or Verifying your blog on google webmaster or Search Console. Google webmaster or search console is the tool that shows how your blog appears to the bots, it performance and the number of times it appeared in the search engines. it gives report and datas on your blogs search traffic, crawl, status, index result and notifies incase their is a problem within the blog that stops crawler from accessing the web the blog pages. If you understand all the elements in the google, you can make blog google friendly and submitting your sitemap in Google Webmaster or search console makes bot to crawl your pages better. All webmasters are therefore advised to add/verify their blogger blog and the steps in doing so are detailed below. Login to your blogger Account. Click on Settings -> Click on search preferences. Go to Crawlers and indexing section. Click on Edit link against “Google Search Console”. It will take you to webmaster tools page. You might see either “ADD A SITE” or “ADD A PROPERTY” button on the page. Click on it. It will open a pop-up window as below. Enter your website address and click on “Add” button. Navigate to 2nd tab “Alternate methods”. Here select “HTML tag” option. It is the best option to verify your website. You need to copy the given Meta tag and paste it into your website home page Go to your blogger account. You can click either on “Template” or “Theme”. (Whichever is present in your site) Click on “Edit HTML” button. Paste the copied meta tag under <head> section & Save theme as below: Now, click on “Preview theme”. It will be loading your site. Till then Go to “Webmaster Central” window from where you copied the Meta tag. Click on “Verify” button. Here, Google server will check your website for authentication. If it validates successfully, you can see the verified message from the Webmaster Central to use Google services as below screen. Now your site is added to Webmaster Central. Now you are done with adding or Verifying your blogger blog on Google Webmaster or search Console. Start expecting traffics from google as soon as possible. See Source for More Details |
