This seed is usually hawked by our brothers from the north as remedy for backache. I have eaten the seed and it worked. A seed is sold for between ₦50 and ₦100.
I bought some last year and planted in my garden which produced beautiful seeds after 3-4 months. I replanted this year with good harvest as well.
My question to the house is: does anybody know the name of this Medicinal Seed in English, botanical name, or local dialects.
Here is a picture of the plant, the old and recent harvests. Old harvests are brownish.
Please help.
