If a woman uses a love potion on a man or casts a spell on him, we all know some men are natural women batterers, does the love potion eliminate the violent side of him or it's an added unexpected bonus?

I'm asking this because me and a friend are arguing over the matter. I say it will remove his aggressive nature completely while he says it won't but once she speaks, asking him to stop beating her, he'll consciously stop or make efforts to.
