Liverpool have reportedly denied the rumour attributing them with a €70m bid for Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker.

Reports have emerged from Italy that the Reds have tabled an offer for the stopper, despite the Italian club claiming last week that they had received no approach for the Brazil international.

Liverpool are said to be keen on a swoop for the 25-year-old, as a replacement for error prone current No 1 Loris Karius and speculation surfaced on Tuesday that the two sides are holding talks regarding a deal for Alisson.

However, according to Sky Sports News, Liverpool have submitted no bid for the former Internacional goalkeeper, as against Sky Italia’s report that a £66.6m offer has been tabled before Roma.

Alisson has played 64 games across all competitions for Roma since 2016 and has given no indication that he wants to stay at the Stadio Olimpico, having removed the Italian capital team from his Instagram bio, while also attracting serious interest from Liverpool’s Premier League rivals Chelsea.
