1. It is called Genu Recurvatum
AKA Knee Hyperextension, AKA back knee

2. It is a deformity of the knees.
Many think this is a normal posture, but it is not. It is an abnormality of the knee joints.

3. It is more common in females.
It has been found to be more common in women. Men have the deformity as well, but it is much less common.

4. It is also known as banana knees
The similarity is obvious.

8. In this posture the knees are easily damaged and prone to chronic pain.

9. It is a common sports deformity, and is considered a deformity hindering one from joining the US military.

10. It can be corrected.
Surgery for extreme cases, postural correction and physiotherapy for less severe cases.
