The service I mean is to change the gear oil, service the mechanism that controls the gear mechatonics and then reprogram it, it's called in VW terminology UPDATING or UPDATION.
It's will cos btw 80 -100k to fix. But asides from that the gear selection is smooth and changes gear with ease. It's a 7speed gear and it changes from D1 to D4 in 10seconds.
