I gave testimony about how carguideng saved me from buying a flooded ford edge sold by a nairalander.

carguideng, computerglobal, I think they're all doing a good job and deserve some accolades.

So I couldn't sleep this morning cause I've got my eyes on this very beautiful 2010 corrolla . The dealer was a very convincing saleman.he kept assuring me that it was a good buy and I shouldn't bother myself. He honestly disclosed it to be an accidented car,but with only a rear end impact. In as much as I wanted to believe him,I decided to go the 'VIN' way.
VIN was provided.i tried free VIN check but came up short.it was not explanatory enough. There and then I decided I was gonna part with some dough to get a comprehensive VIN report . So I tried CARFAX. Oh boy, their fee cost an arm and a leg and probably a testicle. Then I remembered computerglobal. I never for once though I would need his services, and I there couldn't have been a better time than now
Time was 2:14 am and I got in touch with him through WhatsApp. I wasn't expecting any response till later in the day, when he responded almost immediately. This guy no dey sleep ni? undecided . He listed his services and fees, and I chose the premium one because I wanted piece of mind. I wasn't going to Dole out millions of naira without due diligence because of a few thousands.
My report was ready within minutes, and to say I was pleased beyond explanation is an understatement . Apart from the reports and pics, I also got a layman's explanatory of it all.in short ,he gave the car a clean bill of health . I'm happy and relaxed. I'm also going to pay for my baby now knowing I ain't buying a lemon .
Thanks for the patience and understanding computerglobal.will highly recommend you to family and friends.thanks once a again. You can take it from here.this post is dedicated to you. grin

Nice one.

Have you had the car physically inspected?

I would rather recommend a comprehensive insurance.

almsofgold welcome to the Toyota Corolla family. We know you would enjoy the ride with better fuel economy but be security conscious. Corolla is prone to theft but with comprehensive insurance you should have a bit of rest.

Also don't forget to take your preventive maintenance very seriously. Don't start with a 20W-50 ooooo.

Enjoy your ride.

I'm curious, approximately how long would you estimate it would take for a vehicle from auction to arrive Nigeria from the US? A general estimate, never mind about the state the vehicle is located in.

@Cosplay: more specific, 4-6weeks east coast states i.e MD, FL, ME, NH, VT, RI, MA, CT, NJ, PA, DE, DC, VA, NC, SC, GA, (NY has become troublesome lately). While, 8-12weeks for west coast areas.

Now, I have no problem with these threads acknowledging assistance rendered by members, but it's very important to be honest.

OP, this is also not an accusation, I'm merely seeking clarification. I could very well be wrong.

I happen to be familiar with the 2010 Toyota Corolla VIN 2T1BU4EE5AC328630.

The following are the facts about this vehicle:

1. This vehicle was put up for auction on iaai, bidding was on Wednesday, July 11, 2018.

www.nairaland.com/attachments/7469303_screenshot20180726092521chrome_jpegfb07cd6f30d570011fc287a26b494857

www.nairaland.com/attachments/7469305_2t1bu4ee5ac3286305_jpeg_jpeg401942bfd98e439f4b0ccc3474fe4b36

2. The date today is Wednesday July 26, 2018. , and you mentioned you inspected the vehicle at the dealer's lot.

So this vehicle was trucked or towed from Morganville, New Jersey, cleared US customs, shipped to Lagos, cleared Nigerian customs, underwent the repairs and repainting, and was put on a dealer's lot in Nigeria in 15 days?

Consider the following from multiple sources:

DelTel:

@Cosplay: more specific, 4-6weeks east coast states i.e MD, FL, ME, NH, VT, RI, MA, CT, NJ, PA, DE, DC, VA, NC, SC, GA, (NY has become troublesome lately). While, 8-12weeks for west coast areas.

The OP has said he would provide pictures of the vehicle in the dealer's lot. That would further clarify the issue.

Please include a picture of the VIN sticker showing the VIN clearly on the vehicle, as you did for these auction pictures. That would indeed settle the matter.

I'm sure many members would be willing to pay for a service that can get a vehicle from US auction to a dealers lot in Nigeria, with repairs and repainting in 2 weeks.

3. Further, as Deltel shrewdly observed, the OP posted photos of 2 different vehicles. One is a black 2010 corolla, the black vehicle he posted pictures of initially.

The second vehicle is a Silver 2009 Toyota Corolla. Note the second set of images OP posted. One of them is from the Silver 2009 Corolla VIN 2T1BU40E99C017754 in the picture below.

www.nairaland.com/attachments/7472260_20180726201055_jpegb422b2b6c2579b4aeaa30af16db7c704

OP needs to clarify which Toyota Corolla he discussed with computerglobal, the 2009 Black or the 2010 Silver.

OP has said computerglobal sent him the report with pictures, the second set of images he posted do not seem like images sent to him, they seem like images accessed locally on his device.

As far as I know, computerglobal sends his reports in PDF format. They could be screenshots sent to him, but OP mentioned the report was sent early today. The last 2 images have 2 different timestamps.

One was saved around 10:19 am, and the other around 6:26 pm.

There are a lot of issues with this account of OP's interaction with oga computerglobal.

However this may all be a mix up.

Any clarification about the issues above would be highly welcome.

We will be waiting.
