Nigerian Villages Are Suffering, Government Not Doing Enough — WIN Foundation by Kolababe: 9:21pm On Jul 27, 2018
The people of Nassarawa state, recently, had so much to be thankful for as medical relief and intervention came to them thanks to When In Need Foundation (WIN).

WIN foundation, founded by Dr. Ecton-Dunkley, which since  inception has been run with her savings, investment and salary, on June 18th embark on another challenge by taking free medical mission initiative to Kardako Health Centre, Kardako Nasarawa State.

The medical support team included the 15 Medical Doctors, 10 Pharmacists, 15 Optometrists, Nurses and about 20 Volunteers support team. With the crowd who came to get free healthcare, screened for various diseases, malaria, typhoid and high blood pressure among others. Not less than 3000 people were seen by a doctor, evaluated, checked for particular ailments etc. Malaria was the most prevalent of the illnesses and the statistics is jarring in north central region of Nigeria.

According to the organisers, during this healthcare free medical intervention, medical supplies enough to fill one 40 foot container was shipped from the United States, wheel Chairs, vitamins, blood pressure monitors, over the counter prescriptions etc.

The founder of WIN speaks about the worrisome health issues in the country;

“Every year in Africa most populous nation Nigeria, a whopping 300,000 die from malaria due to mosquito bites. Many of these deaths are children and failing adults. The challenges many face in rural villages of Nigeria are not just poverty, being under-resourced, add to it catastrophic issues like absence of basic healthcare especially for those struggling make it due chronic impoverishment."

"These folks can barely afford three square meal per day for their families. The government are sitting on their hands for the most part. Only when organizations like WIN step up to the plate can such anomalies redressed or curtailed. Many are perplexed because in a wealthy oil rich nation often referred as ‘Giant of Africa” the masses of people are going through such unbelievable hardship, poverty and penury."—Dr. Ecton laments.

Dr. Ecton also attributed the success of the Nasarawa mission to its few supporting bodies such as EMU Health, Elmhurst Hospital Center, Brother’s Brother Foundation, Order of St. George, Rotary Club of NY #6 and Corona Lion’s Club.

WIN Project Coordinator Africa Chukwuma Okere however regret

"Though many in need benefited from our free medical mission. We were unable to attend to more people as we ran out of supplies”.

These folks can barely afford three square meal per day for their families.

MakeNigeriaGrea:

They could have even be able to afford 2 meals per day but under this fucking regime, they can't afford even 1.Vote Buhari out if you care about NIGERIANS. It is by grace of God many of us can afford stiffs under this harsh economy.
So since the history of Nigeria, the fault of the poor villagers is caused by Buhari?
Since 1960 and prior that, that there had been poor villages all over the villages in Nigeria, it is caused by Buhari?
Guess they have been able to afford all that previously but it all STOPPED when Buhari became President!
Some people will never see any iota of good thing done by the Present government simply because of hate or simply because they love their previous corrupt government.
This is why we don't really like conversation with some people here for REAL.
Do have a nice day please!

Time for revolution! Poor people stop being afraid of the military. Rise up and crash this fraud called Nigeria. Una mumu never do?

Going to church, calling allah and god, doing ritual kilings, waiting for APC and Buhari has not worked and it will not work. The structure of the country is faulty. Only 1% of Nigerians are the ones stealing everything for themselves and their families. Let us crash this sinkhole called Nigeria and start again.

Boko Haram and the herdsmen have done their part. IPOB, Avengers, and OPC were not serious. It is time the poor people of this country rise up in violence against this contraption!

Life in Nigeria is hell!
Nigeria is worse than a hell hole!

APC government is satanic

APC governors are thieves.
Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun States owe workers 19months salary deduction ( cooperative and other emoluments), but the governor will be saying he didn't owe workers salary, the cooperative and others due can be amount to 7months salaries of state workers.
if the workers protest about the untold hardship, he will say they are sponsor by politician. He paralyse the worker union by sacking all the exco because they demand that he should pay the accumulated dues, that was when it was only 6months ( October 2016).
No workers promotion since 2016
No leave bonus since 2015
No arrears
Pension deduction is equal to zero.
He turns all the workers to beggar.
He is a dictatorship, that sack workers when they ask for their right.
Very stubborn man, that will not listen to people plight.

Fellow Nigerian, ask any workers in Ogun state about my allegations.

Dude I don't freaking give a F**k about what GEJ, OBJ or whoever the past leader did or done, No No No, he freaking has 1 job and that job is for him to take us to the future. Not fucking competing for the most useless president ever. common man, stop settling for crumbs man. If you're truly smart as you claim on here then you'll know the level of low you really look settling for any of this standards. Dude, you might not even get my point.

suffering is not stopping them from mass producing more mouths they cannot feed.
Keep breeding like rats and ask Government to feed as many people as you want to create.

Read my post well and don't let 30k blind you. Croatia President brought their nation's economy to be vibrant not plunging it into recession by saying nothing good come easy or no success without pain. You like making excuse for Buhari. He was elected to change all that.

Even the cities are suffering. Bad roads everywhere, poor healthcare and education. But you will find some cursed people praising governors and politicians claiming they are trying. Nigerians deserve all the suffering in the world as they have refused to use their head.

So it was Buhari that plunged the economy into recession and not the corrupt ways he met everything on ground with the cakes shared among these corrupt thieves you are clamouring for again?
He was elected to change all that, but he isn't a magician and he's turning around things albeit slowly cos things have been so bad prior now, corruption has eaten deep. sure we believed he could have done more, but that doesn't mean we should turn a blind eye to the other things he's done.
Okay later bro.

What has he done? He said Jonathan is corrupt but still he didn't cut down the cost of things. He only cut down his salary but his allowances are huge. He said no office of first lady but now be has hired aides for his wife.

Violence has never solved deep-rooted problems.
It only leads to more chaos where the poor and underprivileged face more hardship!!!

Look at most of the war-torn countries: the leaders of factions, old/ new/ recycled wear the best of clothes, look well nourished, are treated with respect and recognition sometimes like royalty..
Their family members hardly get involved in the conflict, definitely not as foot-soldiers,

The casualties are the ordinary people and sometimes generations yet to be born, trying to earn a living!!
