there is hunger in the land!

if you are a boss please pay your workers.
if you don't like their services lay them off!
if you can't pay them, explain in kind terms why

you are the boss today, who knows what 2moro holds?

i worked once for a man, he turned me to his slave!

i was his accountant, yet i pick his kids from school and was also his wife's driver. ..

i was humiliated severally, a whole chartered accountant with Masters.

the worse part was he did not pay me, and when he does; he paid half, he paid as if he was doing me a favor!

this happened in 2003, 15 years ago, i still wish i could see him now and approach him, i left him in 2004.

i heard he is in usa, i still hate him for what he did, but i thank God for his grace in my life, i am also doing very well.

i was violated and helpless, i faced worse with a Lebanese generator coy after that; not that they did not pay, but i was violated. .

It's all good sha because now i treat my staffs very well because of my personal experience.
Awww... my heart goes out to u! Assist me with the former Oga's name let me help you in swearing for him. I hate cheating and oppression.

Sometimes, it's hard to believe the stories of these gatewhatever. Someone has not paid you since September and how are you coping? He must have been feeding you from your salary or there has been a hidden agreement he was trying to cancel. His hunger will continue in jail. Enjoy the reflective moment...
Employers too should pay salaries, if it is to borrow. You employed them, don't starve them.
My final thought now is who will spend the #700k, Dead man or killerman?
My account is free...
you were making sense with most of your comment but the last part you messed up undecided undecided

What advice do we have for people like his boss? You keep blaming the guy, he might spend 5to6 years in jail and go free. Oga is dead forever, my advice is ...do your boys or your workers well, it helps a lot in many ways. No one knows tomorrow.

Though some bosses can be wicked when it comes to paying money owed.

You work for them, to pay becomes difficult. Shame to those kind of bosses.

But violence only make matters worse. Money, he didn't get, instead he's going to jail. Foolish decision.

I'd rather be in jail than dead.
The boss lost, simple. The other man is alive anything can happen.

Now yo all bosses, pay up or else this will be your fate.

If only both the offender and victim were to be genuine Christians or at least one of them, one or both situation(s) would have been avoided. The situation at hand would have been avoided, if the two or at least one these bible teaching had been put to application, which are the teaching on wages and also the teaching on anger. Concerning the issue of wages, the bible admonished employers to pay there labourers (employees) there full salary and it should be paid in due time, even though many so called Christians and ministers of God are guilty of this. For better understanding on wages, here are some bible citations;
"You shall not oppress your neighbor or rob him. The wages of a hired servant shall not remain with you all night until the morning. (Leviticus 19:13)
"Woe to him who builds his house by unrighteousness, and his upper rooms by injustice; who makes his neighbor serve him for nothing, and does not give him his wages. (Jeremiah 22:13)
For more bible reading on wages read the following bible verses;
Malachi 3:5, Mathew 20:8, Luke 10:7, Roman 4:4, 1 Corinthians 3:8, 1 Timothy 5:18, James 5:4.
My conclusion on wages is thus, if the employer had read and practiced what he read his death and the landing of his employee in police custody would have been shrewdly averted.
Secondly, on the issue of anger the bible warned that we should not let our anger lead us into sin (Ephesians 4:26), meaning we could be angry as humans, but we must learn to take control of it and not the other way round. Anger is a human nature, and there is nothing wrong with us as humans when we are angry, in as much as our reason for being angry is genuine or justifiable. Even Christ during the course of his ministry while on earth was at some point angry, like in the case of the traders, trading in his father's house. Christ at that point was vexed, which prompted him to take actions, and his anger and actions were both justified. The offender had every reason to be angry, and had the right to act, but not in the wrong way as he did. Anger had led many to death, hell, prison, out of marriage, job e.t.c. anger can kill dreams, skills and talents, even the great Ben Carson wrote on how he had to give up anger to become what he was purposed to be by God in his book Gifted hands. I just pity both the offender and the victim, how I wish the hands of the clock could be reversed for them to right there wrongs, but it is already to late, the victim is dead, and to the offender justice will have to take if full course.
My summary on anger just as the bible teaches is for we to tame our anger, being angry is normal and acceptable, but acting out of context (sinning), is unacceptable and must be discouraged. We must learn to take full control of our anger, if we must grow and live rightly as sane beings. Here are some few verses we could also read on anger;
Proverbs 14:29, 15:1, 16:32, 22:24, 29:11,22.

There was mild drama on Thursday at the Ondo state police command headquarters as a middle-age man allegedly held for the murder of his boss over unpaid salary, protested that he should not be paraded alongside suspected armed robbers and other criminals insisting that his case was just a minor one of two-fighting.

But unknown to the suspect, Adewale Adegoroye, the fight which landed him in police detention had turned into alleged murder as he later found out that the victim died as a result of injuries sustained during the fight.

According to the state commissioner of Police, Gbenga Adeyanju, the suspect allegedly attacked one Akin Akinmulero, the manager of Ondo Multipurpose Cooperative Union, by stabbing him with a knife yesterday morning.

The suspect, according to the CP, who is also a staff of the union was said to have snatched the sum of N700,000 from the victim after stabbing him.

The victim was said to have been rushed to the State Specialist Hospital where he later died. The suspect, who was in shock after hearing about the death of his boss when journalist wanted to interview him, narrated his side of the story.

He said he started working with the victim last year September and he has not received any salary since then. He also said that he was hungry and when he learnt that the man was going to the bank to collect money, he went to block him.

He said when he met him and told him to give him part of the money he was being owed, the man refused and they started fighting and he collected the money from him after stabbing him with a knife and was running away with the money.

He was held by people at the scene and handed over to the police. The two men, it was learnt had been working together for sometime.

In tears, the suspect who said he only took the action because of hunger said he did not know it would lead to the victim’s death.

This person is a complete liar. He killed for greed. A man in a desperate position will say desperate things. He says he hadn’t been paid since September? So how has he been living? 11 months later is the first time he felt hungry?

700,000 naira is the rate needed to satisfy his hunger?

He claims that he was slapped. Normal people do not return a slap with a stabbing. However, robbers kill and then steal which is what the man in this article has admitted to doing.

He learnt that the victim was going to the bank. Why not ask him before? Why wait until after the bank visit? Normal people don’t confront people with knives only robbers and murders do.
