ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT A FRONT LOADER AND TOP LOADER WASHING MACHINE

As we all know, washing machines are now known as stress savers as they now make washing easy for every home and washing machine is a must-have for every home, and as such, there are two basic kinds of washing machine which is created to suit every home, no matter the size of every home, as well as the pocket of the buyer. the two basic types are;
⦁ The front loader washing machine and
⦁ The top loader washing machine.

THE FRONT LOADER WASHING MACHINE
This is a washing machine where you load clothes through an openable door at the front of the machine. The door usually has a glass panel and there is a separate detergent drawer for you to load washing powder. The capacity of these machines can be a little smaller than their rivals – top loaders – but they can be more convenient and compact, which is perfect for smaller homes.

THE TOP LOADER WASHING MACHINE
These machines have clothes loaded into the top through an openable door. There is not always a glass door on this type of machine, meaning you can’t keep an eye on your laundry as it washes. Detergent is often poured directly in with the clothes instead of being added through a separate drawer. Although these machines tend to be a little bulkier, they can often accommodate more clothes.
Now, the purpose of this review is to guide our customers on which to choose among these types of washing machines and also to educate them on the functions, features they possess as well as the differences between them.
Once you’ve established your budget, it’s down to decide the one you want, front loader or top loader. Definitely, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but in this case, opinion is pretty divided between the two models, as both have their advantages and disadvantages. To help make your decision, here’s our breakdown of the key differences, similarities, in fact, everything to look out for before you buy.
Before you can choose the best washing machine for you and your family, you need to understand how the main models differ. The main choice you’ll have over your washer is where and how the clothes are loaded.

1. Energy efficiency: Front load washing machine use about 1/3rd of the amount of water used by top load washing machine. Front load machines can also spin up to 1000rpm, compared to a top load machine's 650 rpm. This means less water is left in the laundry, leading to shorter drying times.

2. Space: Front load machines can be stacked, while top load machines cannot.

3. Wash cycle: Top load machines have significantly shorter wash cycles (25 minutes) than front loaders (45-90 minutes, depending on the size of the load). This is because front load machines use less detergent and water and to clean more effectively, they usually take somewhat longer to wash a load. Front loaders are also equipped with computer controlled sensors which if set correctly can easily adapt the wash cycle to the needs of each load.

4. Spin-dry effectiveness: Front-load machines offer much higher maximum spin speeds (up to 2000 RPM, although home machines tend to be in the 1000-1400 RPM range), while top-loaders with agitators do not exceed 1140 RPM. High-efficiency top-loaders with a wash plate instead of an agitator can spin up to 1100 RPM, as their center of gravity is lower. Higher spin speeds remove much more residual water, making clothes dry faster. This also reduces time and energy if clothes are dried in a clothes dryer.

5. Clothing Life: The agitator in a top load machine can add wear and tear to clothes. A front load machine does not have this problem. Some delicate items can be washed in a front load machine on the hand wash setting.

6. Cost: For a given brand, a front load washer costs more than a top load washer.

7. Reliability: Front load machines can cause a musty smell. They can also vibrate against the floor. They have an average life expectancy of 11 years. Top load machines can have problems with their belts, hoses and sensors. They have an average life expectancy of 14 years.

] what detergent available in Nigeria is recommended for front load washing machine? i learned that some detergent can foam heavily and lead to sud accumulation in the machine which can also result in the machine fault/damage.
