How To Start Agency Banking Business and Make 6 Figures Monthly Guaranteed!!! by ayooladimeji(m): 5:01pm On Aug 08, 2018
Hello,

As we all know that Nigeria is home to over 180 million people of which the majority are adults who are largely unbanked or undrbnked.

For most of these people to formal financial services, they will have to travel some distance to get either a bank or the nearest ATM location. This often discourages many of such people to make use of banking services and those who do rarely visit the bank and eventually have their bank accounts go dormant. Another challenge for those who are not too far off from the banks and make use of banking services is the crowd. To withdraw your own money at the ATM you have to queue for hours and same for deposits within the banking hall.

The thing about Nigerians is that we are often times in a hurry, either to get back to work, a meeting or business, so having to line up on a queue in a bank for more than 1 hour is a really big no no for many of us but what can we do, when there is shortage of banks.

Agency Banking as an opportunity to serve the unbanked?

In simple terms, agency banking means the delivery of financial services (account opening, deposits, withdrawals e.t.c) outside of the conventional bank branches using agents to carry out these transactions. These agents are referred to as BANK AGENTS/BANKING AGENTS.
Banking Agents earn commissions from every transaction carried out on behalf of their principal financial institutions and it is a big business opportunity here in Nigeria.

Do you know that Agency Banking is the banking of the future.

In the near future, banks will not spend millions of naira to setup bank branches anymore but would rather deploy agents to several locations to deliver banking services to customers.

The future is now!!
