BREAST SELF EXAMINATION..............
IT is a techniques which allows allows an individual to examine her breast for any physical or visual changes.
HOW TO DO A BREAST EXAMINATION
step 1:Begin by looking at your breast in the mirror with your shoulders straight and your arms on your hips. Here is what you should look for:
A- Breast that are their usual size,shape and colour
B- Breast that are evenly shaped without visible distortion r swelling
If you see any of the following changes l,bring them to your Nurse or Doctor's attention:
A- Dimpling or puckerning of the skin
B-A nipple that has changed position or an inverted nipple(Nipple pushed inward)
C- Redness,soreness,rash or swelling


Step 2--Now raise your arms and look for the same changes
Step 3--To examine the right breast,place your right palm behind your head,then using the flat pads of your left fingers not the tip,move and press your breast down in a circular motion and also the nipple area.Examine to the armpit too.Then press the nipple for any discharge.Do vice versa for the left breast.
