The Enyimba International Football Club of Aba has finally returned to their Home Stadium after two years of playing their home games at the UJ Esuene Stadium in Calabar.

The renovation of the Enyimba Township Stadium Aba which was billed to finish in July 2018 but later postponed to September has reached its final moments.

The team had their first training in the stadium today moments after the State Governor, Okezie Ikpeazu donated a sum of N1.8million to the team.

See photos below.

Just take a peep outside the stadium. Stinking environment with no roads.
They are celebrating artificial grass that some secondary schools have in Lagos
What's the 1.8 million for when the players have not been paid for 3months plus allowances up to 6 months

Footballers and formation, even for prayer.
grin

Their prayer points
1. Baba don let any of us die on this field.
2. Any match we play on this field we must win
3. Ticket must sell for this stadium.
4. Goalkeepers: Any ball dem play me I must catch.

Oya add your own

We like it, IKPEAZU is changing the narrative in Abia state.
Little by little, Abia shall get to her proposed destination.

Aside from other established European elites, very few teams in Europe can compete financially with ordinary championship teams in England.

Comparing Enyimba to English academies is foolish.
They have far more money.
