A lone accident in Abuja has seen the driver of a car plunge himself into a drainage by the road.
At the scene of the accident, which occurred on Tuesday afternoon, the car lay upside down with all its tyres facing the sky.





The incident happened at the Puwai area of Abuja, along the Airport road
It could not be readily ascertained if the driver was alone, or whether he or she sustained any injuries, as there was no one at the scene of the accident to volunteer necessary information.


But one of the drivers that normally ply the road mentioned that it is not an uncommon sight to see vehicles in the drainage at the middle of the express road.


According to him, the road always has smooth traffic and there is a very high tendency for drivers to over speed and land in the drainage when there is any mishap.

“it is a very common sight around here. But drivers need to be very careful while driving, especially on this smooth road” He said
The incident happened on Tuesday in Abuja at the peak of the Eid el-Kabir celebration, for which the Federal Government had declared Tuesday and Wednesday as public holiday.
