OAU SUSPENDS SIX STUDENTS OVER INVOLVEMENT IN SECRET CULT
The management of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile Ife has suspended six students of the University for their Involvement in a secret cult.

According to a statement released by the Registrar of the institution, Mrs Magaret Omosule, the students’ membership was confirmed by a police investigation.

She said; “After the investigation of the suspected students by the Nigeria Police, the university on Aug. 20 received a detailed report of the police findings.

SUJIMOTO INSPIRES STUDENTS AT INTERNSHIP AND MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME
Real estate company, Sujimoto Construction, sought to inspire many students recently when it held an intensive ‘Internship & Mentorship Programme’.

In his welcome speech, the CEO of Sujimoto Construction, Sijibomi Ogundele, said the programme was part of the company’s CSR initiative, aimed at equipping young Nigerians to be self-sufficient and reminding them of their true potential.

Ogundele shared his success story with the students and took them through the creative process of the Sujimoto brand, using their company’s recent project on Banana Island, Ikoyi – The GiulianoBySujimoto — as a case study.

DELSU STUDENTS FLAY ASUU’S REJECTION OF STAFF DUTY REGISTER
Students of Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, have criticised the institution’s branch of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) for rejecting the staff duty register recently introduced by the school management.

The critics, who are mainly students’ union leaders, expressed their views in interviews with News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Wednesday. They alleged that the union’s opposition to the policy, which has been suspended, was based on selfish interests.

Tagged “Time and Attendance Device”, the policy was announced through a July 31 memo signed by the Deputy Registrar of DELSU, Mr. Emmanuel Egheneji.

YINKA AYEFELE HAVING BAD LEGS DOES NOT MEAN HE CAN BREAK LAWS – AJIMOBI
The Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi has berated popular musician and owner of Fresh FM, Yinka Ayefele, for flouting the laws in the construction of his Music House, which was demolished by the government on Sunday.

Ajimobi said this in an interview he granted the Yoruba Service of the British Broadcasting Corporation.

In the interview, over which he had been castigated, Ajimobi said the excuses people are making for Ayefele will not stand in the face of the law.

NBC CONDEMNS DEMOLITION OF YINKA AYEFELE’S FRESH FM
The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has condemned the demolition of the structure housing the Fresh FM in Ibadan by the Oyo State Government.

The Director-General of NBC, Ishaq Midibbo-Kawu, who spoke to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Ilorin, said the demolition was a worrisome development and did not speak well of the state government.

The structure, “Music House, ” reportedly valued at N800 million and which had been in operation for 10 years, was demolished in the early hours of Sunday.
