This year has been a busy year for the South Korean auto giants Hyundai which has been acknowledged for making some pretty good vehicles. First came the Kona, then the 2019 Santa Fe SUV and now the 2019 Elantra with it’s new facelift. The refreshed Hyundai Elantra compact sedan is more likely a ladies car but will suit both genders adequately. The new look on the 2019 Hyundai elantra is a sharp contrast from that of it’s predecessors with a triangulated design.




It also offers new safety features and a new infotainment system with revised center-stack controls.The styling takes a bold step upscale with its new front end dominated by a wider grille with horizontal slats. From the newly designed headlights all the the way down to the heavily sculpted lower fascia. A strong character line extends rearward toward slightly more sensible taillights, which are still more heavily styled than before. At the absolute minimum, it will help separate the Elantra from the rest of the compact-sedan crowd.




Interior

The interior is much more sensible. A lot of changes has been made inside, there’s a new center stack with revised air vents and climate controls, in addition to a new storage tray. The instrument cluster and its surrounding trim received updates, as well. It’s a good look that that will appeal to all car lovers and it also has some rich, premium touch as well.




Infotainment system

The base models of the Hyunda elantra is getting a 5.0-inch color audio-system display, manual-transmission SE models now featuring steering-wheel audio controls and Bluetooth, and Limited models adding wireless charging. An upgraded uplevel audio system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capability, navigation, and an 8.0-inch screen is also available but now has a faster processor. All 2019 Elantras also will benefit from additional sound-absorbing material and a standard rearview camera with dynamic guidelines.




Under the hood



Talking about the powertrains, everything’s pretty much the same as the older 2018 model. SE, SEL and Limited trims make do with Hyundai’s 2.0-liter, Atkinson-cycle engine with 147 horsepower offering a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. The Eco model will continue with its turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder with 128 horsepower and 156 lb-ft and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic. Of course, the Elantra Sport will return for 2019, as well, packing its 201-hp, 1.6-liter, turbocharged I4.
