Yesterday i took my family to Abuja children recreation and zoo close to WU Bassey barrack behind aso rock and i was disappointed with the animals i saw there.

Look at the camel i saw there. It looks very hungry. No flesh in its body.

I couldnt take picture of other animals because of low battery.

I onced asked someone who works at the zoo on why they are not feeding the goats and camel very well, he said, "Its cheaper to buy goat or camel to replace than to fee the present ones". When this camel dies, they process the meat as kundi and take it to the SW

Camels and goats are not even supposed to be in zoos, except this place is really not a zoo.

Even you is affected by the poverty, you couldn't even charge your phone properly knowing fully well that you will be going on sight seeing n will likely be taking pix so don't just pity the animals only pity yourself too.

There are 4 lions in the zoo at Jos. 2 look healthy while the other 2 are close to seeing their ancestors with injuries on their body.
