Winners’ Chapel Johannesburg is one of the biggest Nigerian-owned churches in South Africa. The founder Bishop David Oyedepo’s son Pastor Isaac is the Resident Pastor at the Johannesburg branch. The Chief Justice of South Africa, Mogoeng Thomas Mogoeng is a Pastor at the Winners Chapel International Church in Highlands North, Johannesburg.In South Africa, Winners’ Chapel has branches in Johannesburg, Soweto, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban, Bloemfontein, Polokwane, Rustenburg, Kimberley, Port Elizabeth and East London.


Let’s tell you more about Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng. Born on 14 January 1961 in Goo-Mokgatha (Koffiekraal) village, north east of Zeerust, North West Province, Justice Mogoeng obtained a B Juris (Bachelor of Law) degree from the University of Zululand in 1983, a LLB (Bachelor of Laws) from the University of Natal (now University of KwaZulu-Natal) in 1985, and a LLM (Master of Laws) from the University of South Africa (UNISA). He specialised in Labour Law, Law of Property, Insurance Law, Law of Evidence, and Law of Criminal Procedure. He started his professional career as a Supreme Court (now High Court) prosecutor in Mafikeng, North West Province.


In 1997, he was appointed a Judge of the North West High Court. In April 2000, he was appointed a Judge of the Labour Appeal Court, followed by his appointment as the Judge President of the North West High Court in 2002. In 2009, he became a judge of the Constitutional Court of South Africa and was in 2011 appointed the Chief Justice of South Africa.
