Hey guys, just kinda confused... Is it "Do not talk while eating (while on the dining table) Or Do not talk while chewing (while you have food in your mouth)

I think the latter makes sense since some people might get disgusted at sight of the 'content' in your mouth and you might end up spitting in someone's plate or whatever but the former, like why should I not talk on the dining! What's wrong with it...?

Both are pretty interchangeable but the saying is "do not talk while eating".
Both actions carry a potential of choking on food.

Is why people are adviced to close their mouths when chewing. I have seen people who didn't learn it as children and trust me, it is a very disgusting sight.
