I had once posted on one of your threads where i made my intentions known towards pursuing a course in JAVA.So far,i still find it hard getting a good tutor owing to my location.I stay in Owerri,and am very much aware that there are very good programmers outside Imo state.I however, have retorted to make use of the Electronic software tutor.Your candid advice on how proficient this tutor could be will be highly appreciated.

Electronic tutor, DVDs, ebooks are good but the best is practice. No matter what you read make sure you put it to practice, give yourself a project. why begin with JAVA, i will advice you to start with Microsoft .NET (VB.NET or C#) especially VB.NET cos its good for a beginner. use www.4shared.com and www.asp.net to download books and videos as well
