Do Electricity Discos Shortchange Consumers By Low Energy Demand From Gencos by philos(m): 8:25am On Sep 12, 2018
Could someone here please, help verify whether it is true that Electricity Distribution Companies (Discos) DELIBERATELY buy limited energy from the Generation Companies (Gencos), and then occasionally 'flash' the lights to consumers only to collect full monthly estimated crazy bills from the consumers, thereby shortchanging and exploiting many Nigerians.
It is alleged that the Discos, by so doing, make millions at the expense of the consumers, who enjoy little or no light.
There are indeed insinuations that there seems to be an evidence that the earlier reported low demand of energy by Discos from the Gencos is a deliberate action to rip off electricity consumers.
If this is the case, the Government should investigate this, in conjunction with its relevant agencies to save electricity consumers, and indeed Nigerians in general from undue exploitation.
