With two of the best things rolled in one, shopping while travelling is a real treat for fashionistas. Not only will you get the opportunity to travel, you can also grab country-exclusive items that you have always wanted. Aside from that, you can also get first-hand experience on what’s the hottest trends within a specific country. Hopping on a plane to Milan, Paris, or Japan to shop is something that most of us dream of. So, here are just a few of the shopping havens around the globe to get you started.

New York City, US

The city that never sleeps, New York is filled with marvelous fashion finds from high-end, designer, to vintage. Almost every fashion brand available today has a branch or a flagship store in New York. The most popular location in New York for fashionistas is Fifth avenue or famously called Madison square where you can find the creme dela creme of luxury brands such as Gucci, Armani, Cartier, Prada, etc. If you love street fashion and everyday wear, Broadway is the place to be. Along the road, you will find Urban Outfitters, American Apparel, Forever 21, H&M and other huge fashion retail stores. For vintage buffs, Williamsburg is certainly a place to be, especially during the Brooklyn flea market. The big apple is everything you had hoped it would be!

Tokyo, Japan

The colorful streets of Tokyo offers quite a treat for shopping afficionados. With more than 8 million visitors every year, you are guaranteed an incredible experience when shopping for your favorite items from beauty, fashion to gadgets, you might even find unusual makeup products, and quirky harajuku clothes along the streets of Tokyo. The most popular fashion hub in the capital is in Shinjuku - home to the busiest train station in Japan. There you can find underground arcades packed with shops and different flagship stores of your favorite retail brands, locally and internationally.

You can also find numerous high street brands in Shibuya, Odaiba (the Palette Town shopping complex), and the Tokyo Solamachi at the Tokyo Skytree. If you want to save up on shopping, Flea markets every Sunday can be found in nearby temples and shrines where you can find second hand goods, garage sales, and vintage stores. For individuals craving for luxury and designer brands, the Ginza, Roppongi, and Marunouchi is where you would want to be. In the land of the rising sun, shopping is everything!

London, England

Just about everything can be found in London, from the hottest designer clothes to vintage. While it may not be the most budget-friendly, it is considered as a Mecca for shoppers with more than 18 million people visiting the country each year.

For shoppers who are on a budget, sample sales in London are a must visit. Most sample sales are found in central London but you’ll have to keep an ear out exactly when and where these sample sales will take place. If you breathe vintage, or basically anything that’s unique and artsy, head over to East London in Shoreditch. You can find tons of different thrift and vintage stores selling everything from shoes, bags, clothing, and accessories!

Oxford street is also a place to be if you love high street brands such as Topshop, Nike, American Apparel, House of Fraser, etc. The Kensington highstreet is also a famous place to shop, bringing in together a mixture of high street and luxury shops but if you want an exclusive paradise for everything designer, then head over to Fortnum & Mason in Picadilly. This department store has everything luxury written on it from food, appliances, homeware, clothes, and shoes. Big brands like Burberry, Chanel, Jimmy Choo, Louis Vuitton are all in Fortnum & Mason. London is a place that caters to all fashion styles with tons of different options for shoppers worldwide!

Dubai, UAE

If you love to bask in the heat of the sun, then Dubai is the place to be. Famous for the towering Burj Khalifa, Dubai is a haven for tourists with over 14 million people visiting the city every year. If you love a great bargain from bazaars, then Istanbul is definitely a must-visit. For one thing, Istanbul has no official dates for clothing sales compared to other countries, so sales in the city lasts all year long, particularly on big holidays like New Year’s day, Mother’s day, Valentine’s day and local religious holidays. For high street shopping, head on over to the Kanyon, which is the Turkish equivalent of the Oxford street in London where you can find everything from Abercrombie and Fitch, to Wagamama. Istinye Park is also a shopping destination if you want borderline luxury brands. Although Istanbul visited for its unique bazaars, the city also has quite a selection of luxury brands nearby the Galata tower. You can also find different concept stores from clothing, shoes, furniture, and jewellery at Atelier 55.
