He is surely both the Saviour and the Lord, but that is a big contrast. The charateristics of the two natures are quite opposing.

The Saviour serves, but the Lord is to be served.
He is both the Lamb and the Lion. The Lamb was slain, but the Lion will deavour His enemies.

When He meets sinners, He appears as the Lamb, begging and pleading, " I died for you, come and I will give you rest".
After the sinner has become a saint through the washing of the Blood, He then appears as the Lion to issue His commands.
As the Lamb, He begs!
As the Lion, He commands.

As the Lamb, He is the Ransom for all!
As the Lion, He is the Captain of the Host of Heaven!

On the other hand, the children of men want to be served and not to serve.

Many love Jesus the Saviour but do not want Jesus the Lord.

We think of what the Lamb will do for us, but not what we will do for the Lion of Tribe of Judah.

We will love Him (the Lamb) if He will forgive us our sins, prosper us and keep away the devil. On the other hand, we will not be subjected to Him (the Lion) as to obey His commands. We live our lives as we want without the fear of Him.

Yet, the wise one said, "The fear of the Lord, is the beginning of Wisdom".

He is both the Saviour and the Lord. Better still, He is both the Lord and Saviour!!!.

Hence, He will save those that fear, obey and serve Him.

For as many as recieve Him, He gives power to become sons. The "Him" in this is the complete "Him".
You must recieve Him as your personal Lord and Saviour. Lord and Saviour are mutually inclusive. One cannot do without the other.

Dear fellow pilgrim,

If Jeus is your Lord, do you disobey Him?
If He is the King, do you serve Him?

Or is there a King without subjects? Is there a King without a Kingdom?

Thank God we love the Saviour, but its time to seek and serve the Lord.
