Daddy Freeze 'Jesus Is Against Tithes and, Seed Sowing.'

He aired his views  on Instagram, with a clip of a foreign preacher with the same view.

The OAP and convenor of the free the sheeple movement shared an interesting clip on Instagram on September 24, 2018.

In the clip, a foreign preacher backs Freeze's ideas which he has been sharing since he criticised Bishop David Oyedepo of theLiving Faith Church for saying that tithing is the qualification for divine blessings.

The preacher asked, "Can you show me one place in the Bible where Jesus took a collection before He preached a sermon or took a collection before He conducted a healing meeting or after a healing meeting? Or can you  or healing meeting?"

He went on to answer his question. "Never," he says before asking again , "then how is it today in every Christian meeting there is a collection?"

The video was made with the caption: "Jesus never took offering, he never took monetary seeds and he ABSOLUTELY NEVER COLLECTED TITHES! Ask your pastor to show you where if you doubt me…. But hey, you won't dare question your pastor would you?"

For the past two years, the religious activist has been on an anti-tithing protest, speaking  not just against the paying of 10% but also against seed sowing and first fruits.

On different  occasions, he has openly criticised popular preachers like Pastor Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) whom he refers to as 'Yahoo Pastors' (meaning fraudulent pastors).

His argument stands that giving tithe, seeds, first fruits is unscriptural. Earlier this year, he went as far as saying that anyone who pays tithe, first fruit is committing fornication.

Despite  of the backlash from pastors who maintain that tithing is mandatory, Freeze continues to plead with Nigerian Christians to forgo this kind of giving, inspiring  them to give to the poor instead.

Tithing was not deliberated on in the new testament because there was no objections to tithing among the disciples .
If there was no need for tithing , the apostles would have written concerning that in form of instructions or in one way or the order.
That is why churches for the past 2000 years had been collecting tithes and it is not now, after 2000 years, that someone would start questioning it.

No, however the first appearance of tithing, in the bible, does get a first mention between Melchizedek and Abraham
but, the truth is, neither Melchizedek and Abraham started the 10% giving, otherwise known as tithing,
As a matter of fact, tithing was a prevailing practice in the secular world of the Mesopotamia bible day, times of that era

Abraham gave tithe under a custom law of that prevailing society setting,
this compelled him to give a tenth of war spoils to a king cum priest of considerable or worthwhile repute

Abraham, in effect, simply was following a customary practice that needed to be carried after successful win(s) of fighting a battle or war.

Abraham didnt take up arms and go into battle again, so there was no reason for Abraham to tithe again,
and so no reason to tithe to Melchizedek or to any other local ruler cum priest worthy of consideration

Can you show us where Jesus or any of the Apostles mentioned CHRISTIANS should tithe?

Also, I'd like to know where God specifically made tithes monetary as it is done in the church today.

A simple research on history of tithing in the church will tell you that the Roman Catholic Church smuggled in tithing with one of their synods...over 700 years after the early church...
