E-learning refers to the use of information and communication technology (ICT) to enhance and/or support learning in tertiary education. However, this encompasses an ample array of systems, from students using e-mail and accessing course materials online while following a course on campus to programmes delivered entirely online. E-learning can be different types, a campus-based institution may be offering courses, but using E-learning tied to the Internet or other online network. Moreover, students of various institutions have taken concern especially of education have dedicated their undergraduate project work into outlining the benefits associated with e-learning.

E-learning actually make for easy learning as one could easily partake in a lecture from the comfort of his/her house.

Other benefits of electronic education include increases in enrollment or time in school as education programs reach underserved regions, broader educational opportunity for students who are unable to attend traditional schools, access to resources and instructors not locally available, and increases in student-teacher communication

However, E-learning is not the most effective choice in all situations. Students may feel isolated, parents may have concerns about children’s social development, students with language difficulties may experience a disadvantage in a text-heavy online environment, and subjects requiring physical demonstrations of skill such as music, physical education, or foreign language may not be practical in a technology-mediated setting.
