Role description
The ideal candidate will be required to have a strong leadership skills
-Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
-Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.
-Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
-Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the authoritie’s attention-Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
-Summarizes financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
-Delegate financial responsibilities to accounting team
-Produces payroll by initiating computer processing; printing checks, Completes external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts; providing information for auditors.
-Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements.
Secures financial information by completing database backups.
-Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
-Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Requirement
-BSC/HND in Accounting or relevant field
-At least 3 years’ experience in general or tax accounting
-Ican certified
-Advanced knowledge of Excel and accounting software’s
-Strong problem solving and analytical skills
-Ability to function well as a leader and in a team-oriented environment.


2) Junior accountant
Role description
The ideal candidate must be ready to provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks.
Responsibilities
-Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
-Update accounts receivable and issue invoices
-Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
-Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
-Assist with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
-Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
-Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
-Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
-Assist with other accounting projects

Requirement
-proven experience as a junior accountant
-Excellent organizing abilities
-Great attention to detail
-Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
-Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
-Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g. SAP)
