#FCMgist #BloodyAccident OVERSPEEDING CAR JUMPED GUTTER & HIT TREE An accident took place inside FUNAAB Campus today before the School sport center , a Vehicle jumped the gutter and collided with a tree. According to what we got, they’ve been transfered from the school health center to another hospital. The Driver is a 500level student while two guys had fracture on their legs. The tyre bursted while on high speed, he lost control of the vehicle because he applied brake when the tyre bursted. He swerved off the road and hit the tree.  Have you ever tried to pick a fight with a tree? They're rather unforgiving beasts, and for what it's worth, a vehicle will never win. There are alot of injury that could possibly occur in a vehicle vs. tree scenario. I'll add just one more injury. Death That's right. At a high rate of speed, you can almost guarantee that someone, if not everyone, will die. There is an old saying, it's not the fall * accident * that will kill you, it's the rapid deceleration that will. Keeping in mind that a tree, even the smallest of them, will not give any resistance in an impact. The rapid deceleration from the collision will cause multi-organ trauma and a mess for any trauma doctor in an ER. Just a few months ago I went on just this scenario. There was a car on the interstate that lost control and hit a tree, traveling a mere 65-70mph. Two succumbed to their injuries several days later, one was in ICU for a few weeks, and the fourth (only one wearing a seat belt) walked away with bumps and bruises.
