Good morning, Please I just got a new memory card ,16GB class 10, finnarry memory card by dynacard.co ltd. It's a good memory card .On the pack, it was written that the memory card should be periodically formatted but they didn't specify the actual period .I've transferred movies and other documentaries that I do not want to delete. Please I want to know when and how often a memory card needs to be formatted. |

I don't know o. But I have been using my 16gb memory card since 2013 and I haven't formatted, not once. |

i dont think its compulsory to format your SD card o, unless you have issues with it. i have been using the SD card on my spark k7 for months now and havent had any reason to format it. |

In case if your files are corrupted. Your memory card have unwanted files. Or when you memory cards store un-necessary data. |

If your memory card isn't faulty, you need not format it.but if you must, you can always back up your data before doing that, that's what I do on my tecno spark |
