Poem: Goodnight Ochanya

What a wicked world
Where the poor get oppressed
Justice, where is thy sting?
Oh Ochanya, where are thou?
Why did God allow it
Why, God why?

After years of torment
Breast yet unformed
Defiled and tormented
Her soul cried for freedom
But she bowed to threats
The the worst happened
Her sun set at noonday
What a way to take a bow

And the perpetrators
What happens to them?
Where is the God of thunder?
The God of instant judgement?
We invoke death unto them?
That they may die
Before they die?
And be made a public spectacle

No means "No"
Yes, the hour has come
To liberate every Ochanya
It's time to speak up
Their days are numbered
When a Buffallo sets out
Meets a pride of Lion
The game is over

If your ward suddenly recoils
Avoids people like plague
Start asking questions
There might be a paedophile
Lurking somewhere within

To all rapists and paedophiles
Your time is up
Forgiveness you will get
if you ask your Creator
But our job as advocates
Is to arrange the meeting
Within legal confines
Armed with our voices and pen
Till you are vaporized
Erased from planet earth
Like you never came

Goodnight Ochanya
But this just a beginning
The walk for rape is real
The cry for justice is intensified
We will work our talk
Until every Ochanya is free
From the hands of terrorists
Rapists and paedophiles
The game has just begun...
