Super Eagles head coach, Gernot Rohr, has released his 23-man squad for next month’s 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa.

The squad will also prosecute a friendly against Uganda three days later.

Charleroi forward, Victor Osimhen, has been recalled to the team for the first time since June 2017

There are first-time call-ups by Rohr; U-17 World Cup-winning Samuel Chukwueze of Villarreal, and FC Ifeanyi Ubah defender Adeleye Olamilekan are players picked.

Wilfred Ndidi is left out, as he will serve a suspension after picking up two yellow cards against Seychelles and Libya.

.

The Super Eagles of Nigeria are to face Bafana Bafana away in South Africa in match day five of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) on Saturday, November 17 and a friendly game against Uganda three days after in Nigeria.

Oghenekaro Etebo has also been left out because of injury alongside right-back Abdullahi Shehu.
