he Nigeria Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT) has lost 10 crack detectives within a short period of time. The detectives were shot dead in the line of their duties.



IRT is Nigeria’s leading technology/intelligence-led unit specifically created to fight kidnappings, armed robberies, terrorism, murder and other violent crimes across the Country.

Some of the breakthroughs recorded by IRT in the fight against crime in Nigeria include the arrest of the alleged most notorious kidnap kingpin, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike (aka Evans), and his gang in Lagos.
