What materials, ideas etc do i need to succeed in first trial of this exam?

Use the textbook written by Todd Lammle, it makes CCNA look real simple.
Also go through the authorized study guide by Cisco Press. For me, it was a lot easier understanding this after going through Todd Lammle's book like two/three times.
When you feel confident enough (which should'nt take too long if you really put your mind to it) visit www.certcollection.org and check out the forum section. There you would find user experiences and of course some dumps (mind you, the dumps are not always accurate so i advise you just use this to test yourself extensively).

I tell you, you do not really need to pay anyone a dime to mentor you in preparation for CCNA!!!
