You broke into ATM because your benefits were not paid and you thought that was justifiable enough for the crime you committed?This goes to show that you have helping yourself with customers' money while in the bank and you never got caught.

Stole money in Abuja, ..... started blowing it in Abuja, since 19th of October. Banker friends noticed he's living large, bank notified police of stolen money, all investigation pointed to just one person,....... A wise fool who deserved to be sacked.

So many loose ends in this story. First of all ATMs have standard safes that can only be accessed through both key lock and safe combinations. Most banks have at least two people as custodians of the ATM safe combinations and keys.

Now the question is how was this guy able to steal from multiple ATMs at the sametime. At least, I know no single ATM loads that much.
If he was the former ATM custodian and was sacked yet the bank never deemed it fit to change the ATM combination, them that bank surely has weak controls. Otherwise, the guy has insider informants who gave him the information he used to gain access to those ATM safes.

A former banker, Emmanuel Onuma, is currently in Police custody after he was caught breaking into the Automated Teller Machine gallery of the bank he once worked with to steal N14million.

The 34-year-old was said to have carried out the heist at the Garki, Abuja branch of the new generation bank on October 19, 2018.

Parading Onuma alongside other suspects in Abuja on Wednesday, the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Operations, Federal Capital Territory Police Command, Valentine Olumese, said the ex-banker was dismissed in August for fraudulent activities.

“On November 1, in furtherance of an ongoing investigation, police operatives attached to the Garki Division arrested one Emmanuel Onuma, who broke into the ATM lobby of a bank located in Garki on October 19 at about midnight and stole the sum of N14m,” Olumese stated.

He explained that the suspect confessed that he converted the money to $33,000 in Abuja and Kaduna for ease of movement.

“Upon his arrest, the following amounts of money were recovered from him as exhibits: cash sum of $28,000; N1,650,120 and nine pieces of Ghana cedis. Other exhibits recovered from him include one new SIM card and flight tickets,” the commissioner added.

Sincerely I think robots should be employed as tellers. Way back as a banker when I go dey count money wey my generation no fit see everyday I always end up weak and depressed. Na when one small pikin count one kain big money I know say I dey die small small. The sight of the money wan kill me. Voice for my head dey tell me"transfer transfer,do only small he no go know"

Hmm remember my days back then posted to work with bullion van section which give and retrieve cash for daily activities but after been in there and it's almost christmas i just have to transfer myself by submitting my resignation not that am tempted to do something stupid but what's my gain if all this big brother attack someone in the middle of service.

checked to see if this emmanuel is my neighbour who stole billions recently from the bank he worked with..so the bank never still catch that man?
