A 24-year-old Air hostess identified as Patrisha Organo, has been hailed for breastfeeding a stranger’s crying baby after the mother ran out of baby formula during a flight.

The air hostess who has a nine-month-old baby named Jade, was working on an early morning domestic flight in the Philippines when she heard the baby’s cries. After making inquiries about the stranger’s crying baby, she offered to breastfeed the infant in another part of the cabin after the baby’s mum who was at wit’s end disclosed that her baby’s formula had finished.

She said:

As soon as I heard the child’s cry, I knew there had to be something that I could do to help.

When the mother told me that she had no formula milk for the child, and I knew that there was none on board, I knew I had to help.

I knew that I could offer my own milk, as I had been breastfeeding my young child myself, so offered up my services.

The baby’s mum who thanked the air hostess over the kind gesture, had been at the airport since the night before. She was even much more grateful after the satisfied baby fell asleep.

Patrisha added:

After I had breastfed the baby I escorted her and her mother back to their seat.

But later on, just before I left, the mother sincerely thanked me for all of my help.

I knew the flight was going to be special to me, as I had just received a promotion in my role, but I didn’t realise it would be this special.

I breastfed a stranger’s baby in flight, and I am just so thankful for the gift of a mother’s milk at times of need.

Breast milk all over the world taste the same

We have cases where a mother gave birth and can't breast feed the child because she is having a health challenge and no money to buy infant formular

Cases like this the child is taken to the nearest woman that is breast feeding to help breast feed the child

This is one of the situations women cooperate with themselves to help each other
