How can you pay #100, 000 when a significant number of the population works for the government? Does he understand how much wage bill it'll be every month? Unless you get conglomerates (other than Dangote), multinationals, smes and give them first class infrastructures on ground, we'll continue to struggle attracting companies that can absorb and pay decent wages. |

The issue is not n100k or 30k or even 10k... the bottom line is the purchasing power of the naira |

Richdad50: Are u the one that wanna inflate it? Paying the executive and the legislative huge amount of money and bogus bonuses has not caused inflation but when it comes to paying the people who are doing the work, that is wen economist like u will remember inflation exist in the dictionary. How will the economy ever work? How will we ever get a good service men and woman wen they are concerned abt how to take bribe to feed their family because they are underpaid and non motivated? I wonder the infaltiin u talking about when the country is always on a steady inflation |

Anyone who thinks Nigeria can afford to pay 100, 000 minimum wage is a Jon Snow. How much do people think this country makes from crude oil sales sef? |

TheAlchemist: It will take a long long time for the naira to have value... So, are u saying, the country should continue on the downward spiraling trend that it is on? When there is not even any sensible and sincere enough person in the current government to make our naira has value through production? There are important issues like, how do u motivate a police force that depends on bribe to live? What about the immigration? The frsc? Just to mention few? The kind of treatment the government is giving our service men is the product we are seeing - unprofessional, corrupt, lackadaisical and lawless. The funny part is, the masses are the ones that suffer it, the police, frsc, and odas don't harras the government officials, it's people like me and u they oppress. Wen they start paying a good wage, things start to balance, the service people start to give us good services, professionalism and respect bt the people who are peddling this inflation rubbish don't want that... They want us to be oppressed forever, so that they can't keep giving us peanuts while they take everything home... Imagine a police force that government can not influence to carry out atrocities, imagine a professional and respectable police force that will allow people to protest peacefully and not intimidate or harras us? We can start to let government do what we want by then, if only POLICE FORCE AND OTHER SERVICE MEN ARE PAID A LIVING WAGE and not a meager salary |
Re: Minimum Wage: Govt Can Pay Workers N100,000 – Tunde, Ex-styl Plus by princetom1(m): 10:24am On Nov 16, 2018 |
RedboneSmith: That is why ignoramus who think through their nose and anus only and know nothing about how to generate money than, must leave government office and replaced with people who are in tune with latest in business and economic plans specifically for Nigeria. Countries like Angola that produce less crude oil than Nigeria makes double of our national budget yearly... If u know wats good for u... Go and listen to Sowore. Infact, Vote Sowore come 2019 election if u wanna know how rich Nigeria is and how much development will come our way with such person in power |

XaintJoel20: Nigeria isn't rich, forget fantasies, in terms of revenue creation we are way behind we basically rely on oil, a company like alibaba made $30b in a day, ask yourself, how much does Nigeria make in a day? Croatia generates $12bn yearly from tourism how much is our oil revenue yearly, we have to stop deceiving ourselves. |

abjisperson: No, it won't; it will only cause inflation. Looks like you don't even know simple economics and here you are commenting about economic issues. What an absurdity! In fact, NLC shouldn't be focusing on salary increment for the fear of inflation; they should rather focus on compelling the government to make politics less juicy by reducing the earnings of politicians. |
