Nigerian fans were least impressed with Leicester City's Kelechi Iheanacho following what was perceived as a poor outing for him in the game against South Africa.

Iheanacho struggled for most of the match as he was usually isolated up front and losing the ball whenever it got to him.

Although a draw was enough to secure qualification for Nigeria, the fans were unimpressed with the forward who had a clear chance to double Nigeria's lead in the match but was let down by his ball control.

However, the opposite was the case for Nigeria's captain on the day, Ahmed Musa as he kept the South African defense on its toes.

Musa was also at the receiving end of two crucial, somewhat controversial moments of the match. In the first instance, a clean through-ball from Iheanacho set Musa away, leaving him one-on-one with the goalkeeper but the referee ruled for offside despite replays showing he was onside.

The second decision came late in the second half when Musa though he had sealed three points for the Eagles after stealing away from the Bafana Bafana defense and placing the ball beyond Khune in goal but the play was brought back for offside with replays showing the referee was wrong again.

The officials of that match were bad.... two goals chunk off like that. The way those calls were made I suspect somebody was paid

And somebody will accuse me of not patronizing African football with such horrible officiating, I just hate seeing rubbish repeatedly... Just like vs Senegal where the ref was sanctioned and the Match replayed, South Africa always favored by useless officiating.
