The 11 Startup Graduates of Google Launchpad Accelerator Africa Program

This post gives detailed highlights about the 11 Startup Graduates of Google Launchpad Accelerator Africa Program designed for tech startups within 17 African countries.

The 3 month program took place in Lagos and the graduation program was held in Ghana as these startups collecting $110,000 in funding from Google.

The Google Launchpad Accelerator Africa Program was first announced in July 2017 and will keep continuing until 2020. Per year, there are at least 10 to 12 startups engaged in the program where they receive a fund of $3 million.

And more importantly, these startups have access to advisers from Google, Silicon Valley, as well as Africa for about three years. An addition to that, they also get PR support during the program.

The 11 Startup Graduates of Google Launchpad Accelerator Africa Program with their country of origin are listed below:

#1. AppZone (Nigeria)

AppZone is Africa’s leading provider of software solutions to financial institutions. It allows merchants receive payments in physical outlets, on websites and directly from within the Zone app environment.

#2. Chalkboard Education (Ghana)

Chalkboard Education is a mobile learning platform that offers curricula accessible on all mobiles even without the internet.


#3. Cloud9xp (Kenya)

Cloud9xp is an online platform that helps people to discover tourism places and book leisure experiences across Africa.
