with all due respect boss, i tried disregarding you reply and not commenting, but if i have your best interest at heart, then i should give you some advice, but its completely optional though.

Actually sir, this was not the best response to the question of "How much?". in a shorter sentence writing "2.5m only" would have been the more honorable thing to do.

you would have gained a customer (potential or present) and the respect of many.
the same way you think he is a blind unserious buyer, is the same way he may be a very serious buyer who innocently missed seeing the price and and asked.
