"If you no get money, hide your face". This is arguably Small Doctor's most popular line. The lyric, in itself is demeaning in a country where more than ¾ of the population lives in abject poverty, where 7 out of 10 graduates are unemployed. Still, we promoted him anyway. His musical talent, to say the least is not that bad for his standards.

Small Doctor's history and road to fame is common knowledge. He used to be an Okada rider in the notorious Agege neighborhood. Luck and fortune smiled on him and the rest as they say, is history. If you're very familiar with Agege, you'd know cultism is a regular way of life out there with members under the age of 15.

Fast forward to a couple of days ago and Small Doctor was in the news for an unlawful possession of firearm(s) and assault of a police officer. He was charged to court and in an amazing turn of events, he was discharged and aquitted with only a stern warning to abstain from such behavior in the future. How many times have you come across such a lenient judgement for unlawful gun possession? What does that teach the youth, many of which are Small Doctor's fans? Simple. In Nigeria you can be above the law.

The future of this nation isn't in the hands of Buhari or Atiku. It's in the hands of young men and women who look up to their role models in different sectors, with the entertainment industry having the most role models. If a person can go scot free for brandishing a murderous weapon, then our problems are bigger than we think.

This isn't about money or influence. It's about serving justice to maintain sanity in the society. Small Doctor is not a bigger or richer OG or street gangster than the likes of Tekashi Six9ine, Lil Wayne, Gunplay, DMX, Meek Mill who all served their time in prison for offences bordering on unlawful possession of firearms.

Just imagine the current crop of final year students in high schools who are huge fans of Small doctor's music and personality. What is there for them to learn from this episode of madness and what does the future hold for us all collectively? Let's discuss

Well your society is unorganised in all ramifications. Your legal system isn't independent. The president even consider himself above the law.the armed forces have this impression that if you don't have money anytime you offend them and they are with their gun.they can pulled the trigger and call it accidental discharge and that clear the air.All we need is just REVOLUTION in all sectors .prior before french revolution of 1789.all these problems Nigerians are experiencing now isn't new to them at all.

We're not mature enough for a revolution. Mentally mature enough to take matters into our own hands. I would be a failure if I allow my offspring grow up in this society.
