Boredom is a warning signal.If your child says that he/she is bored or tired with school. that is a sure signal that his/her creativity and thinking skills are not challenged to the optimal degree. Find out what is causing the boredom. Talk to the teacher and find out if more challenging activities can be given. At home, give opportunities to use his/her creativity.

Encourage questions.Children are born naturally curious. They ask ‘why?’ questions all the time. If parents and teachers can give opportunities to develop their natural curiosity and thinking capacity, they will learn faster and better. Never discourage questions and curiosity.

Allow children to explore their environment.Allow them some degree of freedom. Children raised in an overly protective environment will lack brain stimulation and chances of growth. Let them go out and play once in a while with their friends.

Give your child plenty of problem-solving opportunities. Problems present themselves all the time. It could be ‘how to ride your bicycle without falling off?’ Encourage your child to find solutions to his/her own problems, but offer help when needed.

Therefore, when children grow up, managing and teaching them becomes difficult. children don’t want it anymore, parents are not able to anymore. There is a conflict, which is called the generation gap. For many families it is an eternal problem. Surprisingly, for some families this problem doesn’t exist. How do they communicate with children?
Confusion comes from the fact that by communication people mean an ability to talk to each other: “I told him/her” However, communication is not simply talking. It is not the use of basic communication skills. It is a heartfelt connection. “You feel that you are right, you talk correctly, you demand everything that is needed, really, you are absolutely right; but this doesn’t matter at all, if you don’t connect with the child.

In management and teaching, the manager and teacher is supposed to have authority, some kind of superiority, so that to impart knowledge or skills to a student. For communication parents need to have heart. In communication parents and children are equal beings. So, when parents try to communicate with the child using the management or teaching approach they don’t have a connection. Are parents ready to be equal, to disclose things with their children? Here is the difficulty. Not all adults are willing to accept that type of relationship.
