The President and Founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, has said that speaking out against oppression and injustice should not be classified as hate speech.

Oyedepo said this at Faith Tabernacle, Ota, Ogun State on Saturday, while delivering his sermon during the impartation service of the 20th Shiloh, which is the annual gathering of members of the church.

It would be recalled that the Federal Government had made attempts to criminalise fake news and hate speech. Earlier in the year, the Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, described fake news and hate speech, especially in a multi-ethnic and multi-religious country like Nigeria, as a time bomb waiting to explode if not checked on time.

However, Oyedepo did not mention President Muhammadu Buhari nor the Federal Government during the sermon, but he stressed that speaking out against oppression and injustice done to one could not be justifiably classified as hate speech in any way.

He said, “Somebody is stepping on your toes and you ask him to take away his leg, and they call it hate speech. Is that a hate speech? Is it a love speech? It is self-esteem speech. When you carry the Spirit of Dominion, you don’t beg.”

The preacher said he had never had an occasion to withdraw any of the messages he had preached in the past 37 years, saying he was an ambassador of God that enjoyed full supernatural backing.

Explaining the ambassadorial status of Christians further, Oyedepo said that if anybody in this country carried a complimentary card of the President, the card would grant such a person access to many places, how much more Christians, who had the divine authority to dominate in all areas of life.

He stated that most of the best universities in the world were founded by the Church, citing Oxford and Cambridge universities as examples of institutions that had been in existence for more than one thousand years.

The preacher added that the Covenant University had gone far ahead of many government-owned institutions that had been in existence long before it was established.

This time the Bishop is correct, speaking out against oppression, tyranny and injustice isn't hate speech. Provided all parties practice great restraint the spiritual war will continue without violence. Mob justice is also violent just the same as church cult stalkings are subtle forms of violence. grin grin grin

I agree with Oyedepo.

Just like speaking out against church doctrines doesn't mean one hates the church.
Telling people to place their faith in God, not the Man of God, is not hate speech.
Criticism is not hate speech.

Telling Enemies to 'go and die'.... That's hate speech.
Referring to those whom you disagree with as demons, vampires, anti-Christs, that's hate speech.

Love speech is understanding that there's a human on the other side of that opinion you dislike. And watching your words so they do not hurt the other, to understand that opinions are generally not a reflection of the soul.

Loving the 'sinners' as you love yourself. There's no geater commandment. No other gospel.

Jesus hasn't come back yet, because the Gospel hasn't reached Nigeria.

Nonsense.

A Blackman has no rights that a Whiteman is bond to respect.

If you are Black then you are guilty, evil and dirty. If you are White you are innocent, good and pure. Considering the correct definitions of black and white then I am correct in interpretation.

No righteous man can be forced under law to respect the wicked. There are wicked men in the Church and they are running it. The church has yet to clean house of all the pedophiles, sodomites and sexual deviants that are ruining it's relations with other faiths. Those men robbing the community and running community mob to oppress the people. Christians must live by the laws of the Most High. Stop using the doctrine of forgiveness to get away with abominations. No one has to respect hypocrites. We can't have equal footing with those who only pretend to follow Gods law. How will we know good from evil if the law has no standing?

No. Santa Claus was a pedophile demon. The Vatican is ran by pedophiles. This homosexuality agenda is tied to the Church and its not coming from anywhere else. The Church needs to distinguish itself from the other Christian who are running patriochical domination via pederasty.

The woman is sacred. Women ruled cultures were sexually pure. And no husband must be giving baths to small children and babies. Where are the other women of the family if the mother is too busy to bathe her baby? What has happened to the African family under the guidance of the Church? People are starving and families are dying while pastors are owning multi million dollar jets. This is mostly the woman's money used by greedy Freemason pastors to live lavish. Again the woman is sacred. If not for them using the image of a virgin woman Christianity is just another male driven cult. Take away Mary and nobody believes in any Jesus. The woman is sacred and she is the heart of the community.
